Mechanical and Production Engineering

A group of 14 (fourteen) students from level 3, term 1 of IPE program participated in an industrial attachment at Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Center (BITAC), Dhaka from 2^nd April, 2023 to 13^th April, 2023.

From this attachment, they got to learn and observe various equipment of Mould Shop and Heat Treatment, Foundry & Pattern Shop, Welding and Fabrication Section, Machine Maintenance & Automobile Section, Tool and Technology Institution (TTI), different machines in the MT (light) shop, MT (heavy) shop, various machines and equipment at a CNC shop. They also learned how the Production Control Division (PCD) in BITAC plays a key role in the smooth operation of the facility and in ensuring that the products produced meet the required standards and are delivered on time to customers. The Industrial Engineering Division (IED) is responsible for analyzing and improving the production processes in order to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

For learning new things, they have done their attachment attentively and all the people of BITAC including the instructors were very friendly towards them.
