Mechanical and Production Engineering

A group of 15 (fifteen) students from level 3, term 2 of IPE program participated in an industrial attachment at Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Center (BITAC), Dhaka from February 26 to March 02, 2023. From this attachment, they got practical knowledge about different departments. They learned about all types of conventional and nonconventional machines (horizontal boring machine, radial drill machine, vertical boring machine, different types of lathe machine, different types of milling machines, boring machine etc.), inspection, mold, pattern shop, foundry shop, heat treatment, fabrication, computerized numerical control and machine maintenance. They visited Tool and Technology Institute (TTI) during this attachment. They also learned how BITAC’s overall cost for work is done by the IE department and how production is controlled by PCD. Through this practical knowledge, their theoretical and practical knowledge has become more enriched. People of all department of BITAC were very helpful and friendly. Every instructor taught them with great passion.
