Mechanical and Production Engineering

On February 7, 2023, the students of IPE 19^th batch went on an industrial visit at Hazrat Amanat Shah Spinning Mills Limited (HASSML), Narsingdi along with five faculty members from IPE program. They visited numerous production floor of that industry. It has its own backward linkage spinning to produce COTTON yarn blended with tensile, viscose, vista and modal fibers to manufacture different kinds of apparel for home and abroad. Besides, HASSML is a lead yarn manufacturer in Bangladesh. Their 17 years of experience also has helped them become the market leader and to achieve customers reliance.

HASSML produces all kinds of yarn maintaining all the standards required to get a superior product that has made them the market leader. Quality management, yarn manufacturing, spinning, weaving, dyeing, and effluent treatment plant (ETP) were some of the sections covered by the students. They also visited some laboratories such as Chemical Analysis Lab, Color Fastness Lab, Physical Lab, and Wash Performance Lab. Different sets of machines used in the various sections of the department were also discussed.

It was a good day for the students to learn about one of the biggest industries with such vast insight.
