Mechanical and Production Engineering

On September 19, 2024 (Thursday), from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM a seminar on marking rubrics was held in the VC Seminar Room at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST). The keynote presentation was delivered by Professor Dr. Swakkhar Shatabda, a member of the Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) of the Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE) at BRAC University. The Chief Guest at the event was Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sarwar Morshed, Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at AUST.

This seminar is organized by Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) department of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST). This seminar facilitate the course and lab teachers to understand the current OBE practice in higher educational institutes in Bangladesh. Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, Honorable Vice Chancellor of AUST, also presented in the seminar too. IQAC, AUST explored this seminar for MPE and TE departments who are also going to submit SAR in the short course of time.

The seminar provided valuable insights into the current OBE practices in higher educational institutes, enabling the MPE department to refine its teaching strategies and align with accreditation requirements. The interactive discussions and expert guidance will aid in preparing the SAR effectively. Collaboration with IQAC and learning from the experiences of EEE faculty further strengthen the department's approach to quality enhancement. The event fostered a culture of continuous improvement, benefiting MPE in achieving its academic and institutional goals.
