Fire Safety Training for MPE Department Faculty Members at Mirpur

From October 15 to October 17, 2024, four faculty members from the MPE Department's IPE Program participated in a comprehensive fire safety training program at the Fire Service and Civil Defense Training Complex in Mirpur. This three-day program was designed to equip the participants with essential skills in fire emergency response, first aid treatment for fire victims, and rescue techniques during fire and earthquake situations. The faculty members who attended the training included Inzamam Ul Haq, Assistant Professor; Md. Sazzad Hossain Ador, Assistant Professor; Md. Tanvir Ahmed Pranto, Assistant Professor; and Qawsar Ali, Lecturer (Grade II).

The training covered a range of critical topics. Faculty members were taught first aid techniques for fire victims, including how to treat burns, manage smoke inhalation, and provide immediate care for injuries. Additionally, they received practical instruction on rescuing individuals trapped during emergencies, whether due to fires or earthquakes. The program also emphasized strategies for quick assessment of high-risk situations and implementing effective evacuation procedures to ensure safety during such incidents.

The department expresses its gratitude to the Fire Service and Civil Defense Training Complex for hosting this invaluable program. Such initiatives not only enhance the safety and well-being of the campus community but also underscore the importance of being prepared to handle emergencies effectively.
