Aliza Sharmin Awarded Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Padak for Academic Excellence


Aliza Sharmin, a distinguished graduate of the Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) Program under the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering (MPE) from the Fall Semester 2018 graduating batch, has been awarded the prestigious Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Padak at the 12th Convocation of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), held on 14 May 2025.

She received this highest academic award of the university in recognition of achieving the highest CGPA of 3.992 in her graduating batch. The “Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Padak” is conferred upon graduates who demonstrate exceptional academic excellence and outstanding performance throughout their undergraduate studies. The award was formally conferred by the Chancellor of the University.

This remarkable achievement reflects Aliza Sharmin’s dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence. Her accomplishment is a matter of great pride for the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering as well as the entire AUST community.

Adding further distinction to her academic journey, Aliza Sharmin later joined the IPE Program, Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering, as a Lecturer. She is currently on study leave and pursuing her PhD at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
