Textile Engineering

CHT group is a German-based more than 65 years old company that produced dyes, auxiliary materials, and additives for textile industries. At present, they are operating in twenty countries on all continents. In Bangladesh, they are operating their business through R. H. Corporation. R. H. Corporation has a state-of-the-art laboratory facility for dyeing, printing, finishing, and washing in Tejgaon, Dhaka which is near to the AUST campus. Department of Textile Engineering (DTE) is keen to establish and maintain a close relationship with such organizations. In this regard, six faculty members led by the Head of DTE, Prof. Dr. Lal Mohan Baral visited R. H. Corporation on 29 September 2021. Mr. A S M Hafizur Rahman (Nixon), Executive Director of R. H. Corporation cordially welcomed the team of AUST. He along with Assistant Manager, Customer Technical Support, Mr. Tofazzal Hossain, who is also an alumnus of DTE, AUST showed the in-house testing facilities and briefly presented the services provided by R. H. Corporation.

DTE, AUST expressed interest in future collaboration with R. H. Corporation and establish a connection with Textile testing laboratories not only for mutual benefits but also for sharing knowledge. R. H. Corporation also showed a similar interest and agreed to explore supportive scopes for students to establish collaboration in near future.
