Textile Engineering

Department of Textile Engineering (DTE) of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) hosted A. Matin Chowdhury Award giving ceremony for the outstanding academic achievements of 2 students (Md. Raihanul Islam and Maliha Akter Mitu) from Yarn Manufacturing Stream dated on 9th December, 2024.

The event was sponsored by LMW Global FZE, a leading Spinning Machinery Manufacturer who have been committed to the betterment of the textile industry through their machineries since 1962. It started its journey in Bangladesh near about 50 years ago under the guidance of A. Matin Chowdhury, LMW Global FZE glorified his tribute through this award.

DTE of AUST is privileged to have the opportunity to collaborate with LMW Global FZE. From AUST the Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Treasurer and head of the department of DTE were present in the event.

Dignitaries of textile sector Mr. Showkat Aziz Russell including the President of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), Mr. Ramanadane C. CEO of LMW Global FZE and the Managing Directors' of multiple industries graced the occasion as A. Matin Chowdhury placed the awards to the students. The faculty members of DTE and the students of third year second semester and fourth year (major in Yarn Manufacturing) were also present in the event.
