Textile Engineering

A study tour along with an amazing picnic was held on 13^th and 14^th January, 2024. All the students of 4^th year along with the teachers and staff’s family participated in this enjoyable event. The journey started on Friday night from the AUST campus, full of excitement. The initial plan was to make an informative visit to the ‘Youngone Corporation and Strauss CI Factory’ in Chattogram, KEPZ. Later, a picnic was arranged at Bhatiary Hill-View Park & Café.

Students, along with teachers, reached the 'Youngone Corporation, KEPZ' the next morning, where the CEO and other staff gave them a warm welcome. Students were divided into four groups and taken to different workshops by a few managers for a close overview of their production system.

Students visited their following workshops, Non-woven, Warp knitting, Dyeing and Washing, and ETP Plant. After the lunch a visit was made to the ‘Strauss CI Factory’, which an amazing place where they do the research on new fashion and modify their sample according to the new trends. It is a fully German based factory. They can do production from an order quantity of 500 pieces. At evening everyone enjoyed a beautiful sunset at ‘Parki Sea Beach’. It was a truly enjoyable moment for all. 

On the next day, the journey towards the picnic spot started on morning after the breakfast. As the vehicle navigated through the twists and turns, everyone was treated to breathtaking views of lush green valleys, towering mountains, and occasionally, glimpses of serene villages nestled amidst nature. A journey on hilly roads often became a memorable adventure, showing the beauty of nature. Upon reaching the picnic spot, everyone enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake and waterfall, sharing many unforgettable moments that would be cherished for the rest of their lives.

After the lunch teacher and students shared their shared about their feelings about the whole event and a memorable photo session took place.  The journey towards AUST campus started at afternoon with a lot of memorable events in everyone’s heart.
