Shamsuddin Shakib (Student ID - 20210104086) and Tasnuba Tausiyah (Student ID - 20210104159), two students of the CSE Department, have been awarded the ‘Khondaker Ahmed Muktadir and Mosammat Khodeza Begum Scholarship’ for the Spring 2024 semester. This was the fourth iteration of the scholarship awarding program. As Tasnuba Tausiyah was unable to attend the ceremony, Anamika Saha (Student ID - 20210104106) accepted the cheque on her behalf.

In a brief scholarship awarding ceremony arranged at the conference room of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, Vice-Chancellor of AUST, warmly congratulated the awardees for their achievements and handed over a cheque of BDT 20,000 to each of the recipients. Among the dignitaries, Prof. Dr. Md. Shamim Akhter, Head of the CSE Department, Prof. Dr. S.M.A. Al-Mamun, Prof. Dr. Md. Shahriar Mahbub, Mr. Md. Khairul Hasan, Associate Professor of CSE, and Mr. Mustofa Ahmed, Lecturer (Grade-II) of the CSE department, were present in the ceremony. The participants collectively extended their congratulations to the scholarship recipients for their outstanding achievements.

It's worth mentioning that AUST has established a trust fund of taka 10 lacs for the awarding of the scholarships, known as the ‘Khondaker Ahmed Muktadir and Mosammat Khodeza Begum Scholarship’. It was funded by a generous donor, Mr. Gaohar Ahmed. Every semester, two students from the 4th-year 1st semester of the CSE department are selected for scholarships based on merit, reflecting their academic performance up to the 3rd-year 2^nd semester.
