Arts and Sciences

Department of Arts and Sciences has been offering M.S. in Mathematics program under the Faculty of Engineering, AUST since Spring 2010 semester. Each student has to complete a Thesis/ Project work compulsory. At present, around 26 students are doing their research work under the supervision of Mathematics and Statistics faculty members. Faculty’s research interests span several areas of applied mathematics like Numerical Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Mathematical Modeling, Traffic Flow Model, Heat and mass transfer analysis using base fluid and nanofluids, Bio Fluid Dynamics, Computational Hemodynamics, Biomedical Imaging, Operation Research, Statistical Analysis.

Other than doing business with graduate program, a good number of faculty members are doing research work in the field of Physics, Chemistry, Social Sciences and Arts as well. They are publishing their research articles in renowned national and international impact factor journals and also presenting the conference papers in national and international Conferences.
