A meeting of the Industry Advisory Panel (IAP) of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) department at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) was held on August 20, 2025, in the department’s conference room. The Honorable Head of the EEE department, Professor Dr. Bobby Barua, attended as the Chief Guest. The session brought together IAP members, Industrial Activities Coordination Committee (IACC) members, and senior EEE faculty to strengthen collaboration between industry and academia.

The meeting focused on assessing the evolving industry expectations for Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) graduates, both within Bangladesh and globally. Discussions emphasized the increasing demand for interdisciplinary proficiency, technological adaptability, and innovation-driven competencies. Participants identified key challenges and strategic priorities for enhancing industry-academia collaboration, recommending initiatives such as technical workshops, targeted skill development, industrial training programs, joint research ventures, laboratory modernization, and academic seminars. These proposals aim to establish a responsive and future-ready academic framework aligned with national and international standards in the EEE domain.

As the meeting concluded, IACC Convener, Prof. Dr. AKM Ehtesanul Islam expressed gratitude to the panelists, attendees, and organizers for their active participation. The meeting was hailed as a success, fostering an environment of collaboration, learning, and forward-thinking.
