Currently, a nanosatellite project named AUSTSAT is running which would be supportive for both academic and research purposes. According to the advice of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, the current research on AUSTSAT 3U Nanosatellite, aimed to contribute to Remote Sensing applications, with a targeted focus on the ecological monitoring of the Sundarbans, the world's largest mangrove forest. Looking ahead, the Laboratory aims to further enhance its capabilities and expand its contributions to satellite technology. Plans include ongoing research projects, student involvement, and potential collaborations with external experts to advance the knowledge of satellite communication.
