A seminar titled "Sculpture and Architecture" was held on Tuesday, 19th of January, 2016 at AUST Seminar Hall, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology by Hamiduzzaman Khan, a leading sculptor of Bangladesh. In the international arena, particularly in East Asia Hamiduzzaman Khan is a familiar name in contemporary sculpture. Prof. Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam Treasurer, AUST was present as Special Guest. Prof. Dr. M. A. Muktadir, Head & Dean, Department of Architecture, along with his faculty members and students of the Department were present there. The presentation was started with the description of the history of sculpture throughout the world. He shared different approaches of modern sculpture by different famous sculptors with the audiences. Through his works Hamiduzzaman khan represents our nature, national spirit, tradition and culture but yet gives the most modern look by exploring different materials and structures. It was also a great pleasure to see some of his work based on liberation war 71. The works of Hamiduzzaman Khan was highly appreciated by the audience not only for the Artistic value of sculpture but also for creating a harmonious relationship with the spaces, considering architecture. The program was concluded by thanks giving to the Speaker Hamiduzzaman khan by Prof. Dr M. A. Muktadir, Chair of the session. The seminar was arranged by the Convener Ar. Shehzad Zahir and the members of Seminar & Workshop Organizing Committee, Department of Architecture, Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology, Dhaka.
