The School of Business of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) organized the Industry–Alumni Dialogue and Survey Session titled “Enhancing Academic Excellence through Experiential Ideas: Insights from Stakeholders” on 24 January 2026 at the VC Seminar Room, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology. The program was held from 3:00 PM to 5:40 PM with the participation of university authorities, faculty members, industry professionals, alumni, and officials from the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
The program began with a welcome speech by Prof. Dr. S.M. Shafiul Alam, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, AUST, who emphasized the importance of stakeholders’ engagement for academic development. This was followed by a speech from Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sarwar Morshed, Director of IQAC, AUST, who highlighted quality assurance practices and the role of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) in ensuring continuous improvement in higher education.
Hence, a comprehensive presentation on the Outcome-Based Education curriculum was conducted in two parts. The first part was facilitated by Prof. Dr. Wahiduzzaman Khan from the School of Business, AUST, who discussed the conceptual framework of OBE and its alignment with industry needs. The second part was facilitated by Dr. Naznin Sultana Chaity, Associate Professor of the School of Business and Additional Director of IQAC, AUST, focusing on the implementation of strategies, assessment methods, and continuous improvement mechanisms.
Moreover, an interactive Industry–Alumni Dialogue and Survey Session was held from 4:05 PM to 5:00 PM, jointly moderated by Prof. Dr. Wahiduzzaman Khan and Dr. Naznin Sultana Chaity. During this session, industry professionals and alumni shared valuable insights on curriculum relevance, skill gaps, employability, and the need for practical and experiential learning. Additionally, feedback was also collected through a survey to support future academic planning and curriculum enhancement.
Finally, the program ended with the concluding remarks by Prof. Dr. Parul Akhter, Head of the School of Business, AUST, who expressed sincere appreciation to the speakers, moderators, alumni, and industry participants for their valuable contributions. The Industry–Alumni Dialogue and Survey Session was a successful initiative that strengthened collaboration between academia, industry, and alumni and contributed meaningful stakeholder insights toward continuous academic and curriculum improvement at AUST.
