A seminar titled "Implications of data Science in Business" was held on June 16th, 2023 in the Seminar Hall of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST). Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazli Ilahi, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, AUST; Mr. Safaeduzzaman Khan, Assistant Professor, Bangladesh Institute of Capital Management; Mr. Faysal Ahmad Khan, Assistant Professor, Bangladesh Institute of Capital Management; Prof. Dr. Saleh Md. Mashehdul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Social Sciences; Prof. Dr. S.M. Shafiul Alam, Head, School of Business (SoB) and other faculty members of SoB as well as the students of SoB attended the event. Prof. Dr. Saleh Md. Mashehdul Islam started the seminar with welcome speech.

Mr. Safaeduzzaman Khan was the keynote speaker for the seminar. He focused on a basic understanding of data science and its significance. He also practically showed how data science is being used in solving diversified business problems especially in finance and accounting, marketing, and management sectors.

Furthermore, Mr. Khan suggested students to enhance their skills on data science so that they can prepare themselves for the data-driven business world. The Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor actively contributed to the discussion by offering his insightful observations in the seminar. In the end, Prof. Dr. S.M. Shafiul Alam concluded the session by expressing his gratitude to all who were involved in organizing the session.
