School of Business

As a co-curricular activity, the School of Business arranged an Industrial Tour for the 43^rd batch of the BBA Program to augment their theoretical knowledge with the real-life industrial exposure. The tour was held on June 3, 2023. A group of 55 students visited Akij Food & Beverage Ltd. (AFBL) in Barobaria, Dhamrai, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The tour was guided by the six faculty members of the School of Business: Prof. Dr. Wahiduzzaman Khan; Assistant Professor Mr. Md. Shak Forid; Mr. Md. Mahfujur Rahman and Ms. Nazma Akter; Lecturer Ms. Rasheda Akter Rupa; and Ms. Afrin Sultana. Students were experienced with the practical knowledge of the production and management systems of Akij Food & Beverage Ltd. (AFBL)’s manufacturing unit in Barobaria, Dhamrai.

Md. Tanvir Ahmed Tonu, Head of Human Resource Department (Factory-Assistant Manager); Mir Md. Kawser Islam Mithu, Manager (Production); A. N. M. Kharullah, Head of Admin (Factory-Assistant Manager); and Md. Kamrul Hasan, Senior Executive (Production), among others, met with the students and addressed all of their inquiries. They shared their valuable views and entrepreneurial experiences with the students, which added more value to the students. Executive (Human Resource Department), Mahmudul Hassan Pabel, opened the occasion by introducing their company. Executive (HRD), Md. Abdur Rahman, oversaw the visiting-related disciplinary measures side by side with Executive (HRD), Mr. Helal Uddin, who briefed students regarding the operation plant. The students observed the whole production system under the supervision of high officials of the company.
