Computer Science and Engineering

Computer Science and Engineering Society (CSES) organized an Intra AUST Tech Contest, entitled “CODEWARE'19” on CSE Week from 25 August to 29 August, 2019. The week-long program included Programming Contest, Software Exhibition, Robo Soccer Competition, Quiz Contest and Seminar.

The week started with “Intra AUST Programming Contest”. The Vice Chancellor (In-charge) of the university, Professor Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam inaugurated the contest along with Professor Dr. Md. Amanullah, Treasurer (In-charge) of the university, Dr. Kazi A Kalpoma, Professor & Head of the department, Professor Dr. S.M. Abdullah Al-Mamun and other faculty members and students of the department. Total 50 teams were allowed to participate in the final round of the programming contest on 25th August.

Software Exhibition Contestants with the Distinguished Guests “Intra AUST Software Exhibition” was held on 27th August which had two Software Categories (Mobile & Web Application and Desktop & Gaming Application). The day-long program included the  “Robo Soccer Competition” as well. A total of 35 teams of different departments showcased their projects during the event.

Alongside other competitions, the “Quiz Contest” was held in four stages on 26th, 27th and 28th August. The prize giving ceremony of the eventful week was held on 9th October, 2019 which was chaired by Professor Dr. Kazi A Kalpoma, the President of CSE Society and Professor & Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

Professor Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam, the Vice Chancellor of AUST, was present in the ceremony as the chief guest. Professor Dr. Abdur Rahim Mollah, the Dean of the faculty of Engineering and Prof. Dr. S. M. Abdullah Al-Mamun, the Ex-President of AUST CSE Society were also present as the guests of honor.            Prize Giving and Photo Session with the Guests Nasir Group, Arma Group and Byanjon were the sponsors and Bangla Tribune and Daily Somokal were the media partners of the event.
