Awarding Ceremony of the Khondaker Ahmed Muktadir and Mosammat Khodeza Begum Scholarship (Fall 24 Semester)


Md. Rakib Hasan (Student ID - 20210204027) and Samiha Tahsin Hai Nova (Student ID - 20210204052), two meritorious students of the CSE Department, have been awarded the ‘Khondaker Ahmed Muktadir and Mosammat Khodeza Begum Scholarship’ for the Fall 2024 semester. This scholarship continues to recognize and encourage academic excellence among the students of AUST, marking another successful continuation of this prestigious initiative.

A brief yet meaningful scholarship awarding ceremony was held at the office of the Vice-Chancellor of AUST. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, warmly congratulated the awardees for their remarkable academic achievements and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in their future endeavors. As a token of recognition, the Vice-Chancellor personally handed over cheques of BDT 20,000/- to each of the recipients.

Among the distinguished attendees were Prof. Dr. Md. Shamim Akhter, Head of the CSE Department; Prof. Dr. S. M. A. Al-Mamun and Prof. Dr. Kazi A. Kalpoma of the CSE Department. Also present at the ceremony were the advisors of the awarded students, Md. Ashek Seum and Ms. Anika Bintee Aftab. The dignitaries present at the ceremony collectively extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the scholarship recipients, appreciating their dedication and hard work.

It is worth mentioning that AUST established a trust fund of BDT 10 lacs to support this scholarship, titled the ‘Khondaker Ahmed Muktadir and Mosammat Khodeza Begum Scholarship’, generously funded by donor Mr. Gaohar Ahmed.

Each semester, two students from the 4th year 1st semester of the CSE Department are selected for this scholarship based on their academic excellence, reflecting their performance up to the 3rd year 2nd semester.
