Computer Science and Engineering

The students of the 48th batch (Sections A and B) from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), participated in an industry visit to Augmedix, located in Gulshan, Dhaka, on the 7th and 8th of April 2026.

A total of 40 students (20 from each section), accompanied by two faculty members per day, attended the visit. The program was organized as part of the academic initiative to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world industry practices.

During the visit, the students were warmly received by the Augmedix team and given an insightful overview of the company’s operations. Augmedix, a leading health-tech company, demonstrated how advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and real-time data processing are utilized to assist healthcare providers in improving clinical documentation and patient care. During the visit, students were also introduced to Augmedix’s operations, work culture, and the practical application of software technologies in the healthcare sector.

Additionally, the students were introduced to the company’s recruitment process and criteria. The session covered the technical and soft skills required for prospective candidates, offering guidance on how students can better prepare themselves for future career opportunities in the software and health-tech industries.

Overall, the industry visit proved to be a highly enriching experience for the students. It not only enhanced their understanding of real-world applications of their academic studies but also motivated them to align their skills with industry demands.
