On December 22, 2024, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) hosted a distinguished seminar featuring Dr. Suman Kumar Nath, IEEE Fellow and Research Manager at Microsoft Research, Redmond. The seminar provided an excellent platform for students and faculty members to gain valuable insights into the fields of research and the evolving dynamics of the tech industry.

The event commenced at 4:00 PM in the VC seminar hall and was graced by several esteemed guests. Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, Vice-Chancellor of AUST, inaugurated the session and warmly welcomed Dr. Nath, alongside Prof. Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad, Distinguished Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University, and Prof. Dr. Md. Shamim Akhter, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, AUST.

During the session, Dr. Nath shared his extensive knowledge and experiences in advanced research and industry practices. His thought-provoking discussion highlighted the importance of bridging the gap between academia and industry to foster innovation. Attendees were particularly inspired by his advice on career planning, research methodology, and staying ahead in a rapidly changing technological landscape.

The seminar concluded at 6:00 PM, with Prof. Dr. Md. Shamim Akhter delivering a vote of thanks. To commemorate the occasion, the honorable VC presented Dr. Nath with a crest as a token of appreciation for his invaluable contributions.
