Computer Science and Engineering

Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), organized a spectacular industry visit for a representative team of ten eager students from forth year second semester. The team was accompanied by Mr. Mohammad Marufur Rahman, lecturer of the department. The visit held on 13 June 2023, Tuesday. The team left the university campus at 10:30 am and reached   Bangla Trac Communications Limited, Banani, Dhaka at 11 am. The aim of the visit was to close the knowledge gap between the classroom and real-world applications.

Bangla Trac Communications Limited which is a renowned telecom service provider that prioritizes innovation and upholds a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services. The team was cordially received by the authorities of the company. In the beginning of the visit an informative presentation on different products of Bangla Trac was given for the students. In this presentation they discussed about all their products. How these products were developed, what technology they used, how they commercialized these products, were discussed in the presentation. In the end of the presentation the presenter gave the floor to the students to ask questions on any topic they might have confusion on. All the students actively discussed on different aspects of the presentation.

The team also visited the data center of the Bangla Trac Communications Limited. The data center handles voice over internet service of the organization. Mr. Safayet Abdullah, manager of the service explained about the data center and how different components works to the students.

At the end of the visit the CEO of the organization Mr. M Jahangir Alam had a short discussion on career path for the students. He discussed about professional ethics that a fresh graduate should show while going for an interview. He also pointed out some common mistakes that students make during their interviews. In the end of his valuable discussion he thanked the visiting team and invited to have lunch with them.

The visit ended with lunch arranged by Bangla Trac Communications Limited. After having lunch altogether on behalf of the visiting team Mr. Mohammad Marufur Rahman thanked all the Bangla Trac team for sharing so many valuable information with them and left for the university at 3PM.
