AUST CSE Cricket Carnival 2025 organized by the AUST CSE Alumni Society: A Celebration of Sportsmanship and Unity


The AUST CSE Alumni Society successfully hosted the AUST CSE Cricket Carnival 2025, bringing together current students from the 51st batch to alumni from as early as the 2nd batch in a thrilling display of cricketing excellence and camaraderie. The event, held at Dhaka Arena on February 1, 2025, marked a historic moment as it was the first sporting event organized under the AUST CSE Alumni Society's AdHoc Committee.

The tournament featured six competitive teams, each displaying exceptional talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship. After an intense day of cricket, Old Warriors, led by S M Rashek Mohsin (19th Batch), emerged as the champions, while Barakkah Battalion, captained by Mashud Al Kaosar (26th Batch), secured the runners-up position. The event was further elevated by the presence of Richard StonierStrength & Conditioning Coach of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, who joined as a special guest. His inspiring words and encouragement left a lasting impact on all participants, reinforcing the importance of sports in fostering discipline, fitness, and teamwork.

A significant highlight of the tournament was the collective effort of the AUST CSE Alumni Society's AdHoc Committee, along with numerous alumni, both locally and from abroad, who contributed to the success of this event. Their unwavering support, alongside the enthusiastic participation of students and alumni, showcased the strong bond within the AUST CSE community.

Adding to the significance of the occasion, Faculty members from the CSE Department, AUST attended the event, further motivating and inspiring all the participants.

Beyond the competition, the AUST CSE Cricket Carnival 2025 provided a wonderful opportunity for bonding between current students and alumni, strengthening the connection between different generations of AUST CSE graduates. The tournament demonstrated how sports can serve as a powerful medium to unite people, instill leadership, and create lasting memories.

The AUST CSE Alumni Society extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participants, faculty members, and sponsors for making this event a remarkable success.
