Computer Science and Engineering

Bappi Football Championship of the Fall 2023 semester has been successfully organized by the CSE Society (CSES) of AUST.  The tournament was powered by the Extern-46 and Encrypt-51 batches. The event was held between May 5-9 , 2024 at the BG Press ground. This event was named after one of the deceased students of the CSE Department Golam Rahim Bappi. At the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Md. Shahriar Mahbub (President of CSES and Head of CSE), Mr. Md. Khairul Hasan (Associate Professor), and other faculty members were present.

Opening Ceremony

A total of 16 teams were formed from all the running semesters (8 boys’ teams and 8 girls’ teams). The tournament was inaugurated by the faculty members of the CSE department led by Head of CSE Prof. Dr.  Md. Shahriar Mahbub.

In the boys’ category, Extern-46 won the champion’s trophy and Assembler-49 took home the runners-up title.  The Techpirates-47 became the winner in the girls’ category, while the Extern-46 finished in the second place. 

Prize Giving Ceremony

On the 9th May 2024, following the Final match of the tournament, a prize-giving ceremony was held. Prof. Dr. Md. Shahriar Mahbub (President of CSES and Head of CSE) concluded the event. in his short speech, he wished good luck to the trophy winners as well as all the participating teams and thanked them for maintaining the spirit of the game properly. He also thanked the organizers for their valiant effort behind the successful arrangement of the tournament.    

Mr. Md. Khairul Hasan (Associate Professor), Mr. Tanvir Ahmed (Treasurer of CSES and Assistant Professor), Mr. Md. Tanvir Rouf Shawon (Co-Opt member (Extra-Curricular) of CSES and Lecturer) and other senior faculty members were present to grace the occasion.
