PTV Group (www.ptvgroup.com) is a worldwide leading transportation planning and traffic engineering company. The Product Training team at the PTV headquarter, provides advanced training and expertise for PTV Vision Traffic Suite worldwide. Recently, PTV Vissim group, sole distributor of PTV Vissim software, has provided more than 8 hours of fully online training in two consecutive days (7^th & 8^th October 2020) to Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) along with Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). In the training program, ten faculty members and nineteen students of 3^rd and 4^th year (total 29 participants) of AUST has participated under their “PTV Vissim Academics Exercise” program. Additionally, according to the information found on their training websites, two-day training online training by PTV group costs around 1044.00 € for each participant. However, they have provided the training to the participants of AUST and BUET fully online and free of charge. Moreover, this program has facilitated the faculties and the students to learn PTV Vissim, which is the market leading software for microscopic traffic simulation. Students, researchers, and faculty members have surely enhanced their knowledge on transport planning and traffic simulation by taking part in our “PTV Vissim Academics Exercise” program, which will help them to combine theoretical skills with practical software experience. Moreover, the students of 3^rd and 4^th year who have participated will be benefitted directly for their thesis or dissertation. As the training has been arranged directly by PTV group, their certification to the participants, especially the students, has surely added more value to their resumes.
