The AUST Civil Engineering Society (ACES) and “Pratyoyik 47” successfully hosted the " ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ธ’๐ ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐ช๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ธ " on September 20, 2025, at the Bangladesh Shishu Academy in Dhaka. The fest was presented by Anwar Ispat and Anwar Cement, and powered by Maxcrete. The event was particularly significant as it served to bid farewell to the outgoing students while also warmly welcoming the newly admitted students of the Department of Civil Engineering. The event was attended by respected and well-known individuals. Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, the Vice-Chancellor of AUST, honoured the occasion as the chief guest. Additionally, Eng. Mohammad Shamim Akhter, Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD) joined as guest of honor. Prof. Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury, Treasurer of AUST was present as special guest. Furthermore, the President of ACES and the honourable Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at AUST, Prof. Dr. Md. Shahid Mamun, presided over the event as the Chairperson.
The event commenced with a recitation from the holy Quran, invoking a sense of solemnity. Subsequently, students representing both the outgoing batch and the newly admitted batch shared their feelings and experiences with the audience. Ms. Ayesha Binta Ali, the Treasurer of ACES and Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at AUST, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the members of ACES and the student body for organising such a splendid event, emphasising the commendable effort put forth within a short span of time. Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, the chief guest, delivered a significant and insightful speech, imparting his valuable experiences and knowledge to the audience. His words resonated deeply with the attendees. The guest of honor, Eng. Mohammad Shamim Akhter, also addressed the gathering, sharing his expertise and wisdom. Prof. Dr. Md. Shahid Mamun, the honorable Head of the Department, urged the outgoing students to uphold the ideals and reputation of the university in their professional journeys. He encouraged them to maintain close ties with the Department's alumni and consider organizing knowledge-sharing and experience-sharing events with them.
The honorable Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Md. Shahid Mamun handed over the crest to the chief guest and the guest of honor. Following this, the honorable Head of the Civil Department handed over the crests to the class representatives as well as all the outgoing students.






Following the formal session, the " ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ธ’๐ ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐ช๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ธ " transitioned seamlessly into its vibrant cultural event, where the students of the Civil Engineering Department enthusiastically and actively participated. This segment of the event was a true showcase of talent and the cultural richness within the department.
In the end, the event left an ineradicable mark of emotion and memory among the participants. It served not only as a platform for artistic expression but also as a reminder of the bonds forged within the department and the enduring impact of shared experiences.
