Seminar on 'Parts, Whole and Architecture'

Architect Salauddin Ahmed, educated in the USA and now practicing architecture in Bangladesh delivered an illustrated  lecture on his architecture and architectural philosophy in front of a houseful of audience in the seminar hall of the AUST on January 09, 2013, beginning at 2.00 P.M. and continuing upto 4.30 P.M. His approach to architecture, he said, is an attempt to grasp the vastness of the discipline of architecture. He also believes that the essence of beauty is in the making of things and the maker can not be denied or subsided from the made. 

Architect Salauddin's work reflected fundamentals of architecture in terms of creation of spaces, use of materials and creation of the overall environment. The students of Architecture of the AUST attended the presentation acquised an idea as to how an architect works in the profession in the face of the available possibilities and limitations. 

The workshop was arranged by the Seminar & Workshop Organizing Committee of Department of Architecture. Prof. Dr. M. A. Muktadir, Head & Dean, Department of Architecture, along with his faculty members and students of the Department were present there.
